Mimicking the MAXXAIR panel for automation

Standard

So I think I mapped the Maxxair rj45 controller out. I’m going to try and wire this in my setup.

Thread of others working on this as well: https://www.fordtransitusaforum.com/threads/maxxfan-rj-45-and-rj-11-jacks.24505/page-1

Panel button mappings:
[on/off]: close between pin2 & pin3
[Speed+]: close between pin1 & pin3
[Speed-]: close between pin1 & pin4
[in/out]: close between pin2 & pin4
[auto]: close between pin2 & pin5
[open/close]: close between pin1 & (two diodes – to button, + from pin3 & pin4)
[panel LED]: + on pin6, – on pin8
Pin7 is not connected, so who knows what logic was happening there.

I’ll post updates as I make a physical controller for this.

Hello, the pin outs are the reversed. Pin 1 is the pin that has no connection. The data sheets show the top view so when you look at it from the solder side it will be reversed from the data sheet. Cheers!

Actually, I got it wrong also. Apologies. I gave you the pinout for the external switch panel. The pins we care about are the ones on the control board. The pin you have marked 7 which is a NC is actually pin 2 on the control board. Pin 1 of course is to the right and up. I verified it using an ohm meter from an external switch panel via cable to the control board which is marked on the solder side. Below are my scribbles with the correct pin numbers and schematic.
